The relationship between Christianity and American slavery is not an easy one to explore. The Bible itself was often used to justify slavery. And many saw no conflict between keeping the faith and owning or trading slaves.

For this series, we will explore and try to understand the impact and importance of Christianity and American Slavery and how it continued into politics, economic, social structure and the balcony in the church.
