Middletown provides a variety of internship opportunities throughout the year, primarily youth and children’s ministry internships, which occur during the summer months. Occasionally youth and children’s ministry interns are needed during the school year.
Communications Director (full time position with benefits)
Responsible for all church-wide communication efforts including the development and implement of the church’s social media strategy. Includes an emphasis on video technology and media outlets needed to share messaging around the Embrace Louisville initiative. Ensures that all ministry areas are adequately promoted and responsible for design, editing and production of church-wide publications. Reports to Dolly Mills, Executive Minister.
Business Office Assistant (full time position with benefits)
Middletown Christian Church is hiring a full-time (app. 32 hours/week) Business Office Assistant. The person in this position is responsible for:
- routine processing of accounting transactions and related reporting, as well as some financial analysis and analytical review, and reconciling bank statements and general ledger accounts. The Business Office Assistant will normally be the first contact for payment inquiries from outside vendors and financial questions from staff.
- support for membership database. This includes being the main contact between the church and the vendor, updating the user list and passwords, retrieving records, reports and lists and all training related to the software
Facilities and Grounds Manager (part time position)
Middletown Christian Church is hiring for a part-time Facilities and Grounds Manager. This part-time position will oversee the day-to-day upkeep, repairs and maintenance of the church building and grounds, striving to keep the campus clean and inviting at all times. Works in conjunction with the Property Team to recruit volunteer support and develop short and long-term plans for the continued upkeep of the campus. Supervises the Custodial staff and works with the Church Administrator to adequately staff and prepare the facility for ministry programs, church, and community events.
