You are the church, and ministry cannot happen without your help.
Eager to serve but don’t know where to start? You’re in the right place!
Below is information about all the volunteer opportunities for different areas of ministry at Middletown. Simply email the contact person for each opportunity or fill out this form, and we’ll help get you plugged in to your area of interest.
Welcome Team Volunteer
Become a part of our Welcome Team, ensuring everyone has a warm greeting at each one of our services. Each week we need three sanctuary door greeters, two outside door greeters, a newcomer host, and 2 floaters. If you are new to the church, this is a great way to meet new people. You can sign up to participate as often as it works for your schedule weekly, biweekly, every other month, or particular dates where you know you are available to help. Contact Rachel Freeny, and we will put you on the schedule to serve on our Welcome Team!

Children’s Ministry
Volunteer to help in Children’s worship on Sunday mornings, lead a small group, or help with special events. If you’re interested, please contact Children’s Minister, Amanda O’Mahoney.
Youth Ministry
Our teenagers need caring adults who are committed to showing up for them as we navigate life and faith together. As a Youth Ministry volunteer, you could lead a student small group, sing or play in the band at The Gathering youth worship service, serve meals at Sunday Night Youth, help with special events, and so much more. Contact our Youth Minister, Becky Schroeder, if interested.
Office Volunteer
Do you have some free time and enjoy meeting people? We have a team of office volunteers Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. -12 p.m. and 12 p.m. -3 p.m. who serve at the front desk to greet guests and answer the phone. Our office volunteers help make MCC a welcoming environment for all! If you can’t commit on a weekly basis, that’s okay, you can always serve as an alternate in the event that a regular office volunteer is on vacation, sick, or otherwise unable to be there on their usual day. If you are interested in learning more about becoming an office volunteer, contact Eva Bush.
Prayer & Card Ministry
Van Drivers
Occasionally, we offer transportation to seniors for special events and we also need drivers for youth events and other community outings. If you would like to learn more about volunteering as a van driver, please contact Eva Bush.
Audio/Visual Tech
Join our Worship Team as an A/V tech! Our A/V techs serve an integral role in maintaining a quality worship experience every Sunday. No experience is necessary. We can teach you all you need to know! If you’re interested in this opportunity, contact Charles Allen.
Green Team
We are lucky enough to have a dedicated team of volunteers who mow the lawn and help maintain our beautiful grounds. If you have a green thumb and you would be interested in joining our Green Team, contact Facilities & Grounds Manager, Aaron Williams.
Financial Counting Team
This vital ministry helps ensure the accurate handling of our church’s financial contributions. It involves counting and recording weekly offerings, ensuring accurate financial records, and working in a team environment. Volunteers should have attention to detail, basic math skills, and a commitment to confidentiality. Training provided. Volunteers work in teams, and each team serves for one month, four times a year. Also in need of backup volunteers who can serve occasionally when needed. If interested contact, Eva Bush.
Guardian Ministry
The Guardian Ministry is a team of volunteers who are available on Sundays and for special events to aid in the event of an emergency. This team is looking for people with a background in the medical field, first responders, security, and related fields. If you are interested in being a part of the Guardian Ministry, contact Bruce Aldridge.
