While more familiar than some, Lydia’s story is still not known by many. She was a homeowner and head of household, a businesswoman, and the first documented Christian convert in Europe. She was, and continues to be, one of scripture’s clearest examples that women were and still are called to be leaders in our families, communities, and churches.
