More Than a Get Out of Hell Free Card

Scripture: Matthew 25: 31-46

We often reduce faith to a transaction: believe the right things about Jesus, and when this life is over, you get into heaven. But if we turn Jesus primarily into a get-out-of-hell-free card, we are not only minimizing Jesus’ message about what the Kingdom of Heaven is; we are creating an excuse for ignoring his call to participate in God’s kingdom here and now.
