Middletown Mosaic Ministry: A Ministry for All Abilities and All Ages

We believe that church should be a place where every person feels seen, supported, and included—especially those who may need a little extra care on Sunday mornings.

This ministry is designed for anyone with unique needs who require additional support to participate in worship. During the 11:10 AM service, trained and loving volunteers will be ready in the children’s wing to provide personalized care and connection, allowing parents and caregivers to attend worship in the sanctuary or take part in a small group, knowing their loved ones are in good hands.

Our vision is that all people—regardless of ability—would come to know Jesus and experience the love and belonging of a church family. We are committed to creating a culture where every person, no matter their challenges or strengths, can use their God-given gifts to serve, grow, and glorify God.

We are one family at God’s table, and there is a place here just for you.

All ages. All abilities. Always welcome.

THIS MINISTRY LAUNCHES SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 7TH.

Yes. All volunteers receive training on disability awareness, inclusive communication, and emergency protocols. Background checks are also required.

Important Information for Your Child’s Comfort & Safety

To help us create the best possible environment for every child, please take note of the following guidelines:

  • Snack-Free Zone: For the safety of all children—especially those with allergies—our classrooms are food- and drink-free (except water). Please have your child eat before arriving.
  • Medication Policy: We are unable to administer medications. If your child requires medication during service, a parent or guardian will need to administer it.
  • On-Site Caregivers: Parents or guardians must remain on church premises while their child is in our care. This ensures we can reach you quickly if needed. We want you to enjoy worship during this time.
  • Emergency Medical Staff: We have a volunteer emergency/medical staff for Sunday mornings for the entire church and will be able to assist in any emergencies.
  • Personal Care Needs: While our team is trained to offer loving support, we are not able to provide diapering or bathroom assistance. If your child may need help with these needs during service, we may ask a parent to assist.
  • Sensory & Emotional Needs: We recognize that certain sounds, lights, or transitions may be difficult for some children. Please let us know about any specific triggers or calming strategies that work well for your child.
  • Bathroom Routines: If your child requires assistance with toileting or has unique bathroom needs, we ask that a parent or caregiver remain available to help as needed.
