In Action // Wednesdays, 6:30 PM, begins January 26

In Action is a group committed to having spirited presentations and discussions on issues that affect our community like racial justice, poverty, the environment, and more. We welcome differences of opinion and ideas.  We will take these discussions to the next level by participating in a wide range of activities throughout Louisville and putting our faith into action. Join us on January 26 at 6:30 pm to plan and begin to put into action this new group.

Led by Kim Kolb & Bill Wilson.

How the Bible Actually Works // Wednesdays, 7 PM

For many Christians, the Bible is a how-to manual filled with literal truths about belief that must be strictly followed. But the Bible is not static. It does not hold easy answers to the perplexing questions and issues that confront us in our daily lives. Rather, the Bible is a dynamic instrument for study that not only offers an abundance of insights but provokes us to find our own answers to spiritual questions, cultivating God’s wisdom within us. This book study of How the Bible Actually Works by Pete Enns will explore how we read and understand the Bible in our modern context.

Led by Mike Jones.

Wholehearted Faith // Sundays, 6 PM

A book study of Wholehearted Faith by Rachel Held Evans. This book is for the doubter and the dreamer, the seeker and the sojourner, those who long for a sense of spiritual wholeness as well as those who have been hurt by the Church but can’t seem to let go of the story of Jesus. Through theological reflection and personal recollection, Rachel wrestles with God’s grace and love, looks unsparingly at what the Church is and does, and explores universal human questions about becoming and belonging. An unforgettable, moving, and intimate book.

Led by Jennifer Neyhart (Pastoral Intern).

Rainbow Christians // Wednesdays, 7 PM

Rainbow Christians is a small group for those who identify as LGBTQ+ or are questioning. This group is a safe space to find community and explore faith. This winter/spring Rainbow Christians will do a book study of God and the Gay Christian by Matthew Vines. This book explores what the Bible says about the LGBTQ+ community and what this means for both individuals and the church.

Led by Rachel Freeny.

Rainbow Families // Sundays, 6 PM

Rainbow Families is a brand new small group for parents and guardians of kids (all ages) who identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community or are questioning. This group is a safe space to ask questions, learn and grow together as you learn how to parent, support, and love your LGBTQ+ child.
