In 2022, Middletown Christian Church created the Imago Dei Initiative. The purpose of this initiative is to help our church create a place of belonging for all of God’s children. As part of that initiative, we appointed a team of church members to help guide our journey. Join us as we discuss and celebrate the work they have been doing and as we introduce this year’s Imago Dei focus – Disability Theology and Accessibility.

This worship and small group series begins Sunday, April 23rd.

Scriptures: John 9:1-3, Mark 10:46-52

Building on last week’s message that focused on the importance of recognizing that we have all been made in the image and likeness of God, this week we will celebrate how that is true for people with disabilities.

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 12:12-27

To become the church God is calling us to be, it is not enough for us to just welcome people with disabilities. We must be a church where they can belong.  For that to happen, we will need to adjust how we do some things – even how we’ve built some things. The Good News is that through those changes, our body will grow even stronger and we will see great things happen to the glory of God.
