SUMMARY:Refugee Family Donation Drive
DESCRIPTION:Help us welcome a refugee family to Louisville! \nWe are urgently seeking donations of household items for a refugee family’s apartment. They will be arriving on Nov. 20th\, so we need all donations brought to the church by Tuesday\, Nov. 19th. \nThe list of items needed is here. Please choose an item and check the box next to it on the form if you are donating it. Check the same number of boxes as the number of items you are donating (i.e. if you are donating 10 bars of soap\, check all 10 boxes). \nBring donations to the church office. For larger items\, contact Corey Miller to coordinate drop-off at cmiller@middletownchristian.org or by text if you have his number. \nWe are resettling this refugee family in partnership with Catholic Charities of Louisville.

SUMMARY:Navigating Your Grief Through the Holidays
DESCRIPTION:The holidays may be difficult to face this year because you’ve experienced the loss of a loved one. You may have several questions or doubts about celebrating the holidays. You may also be looking for ideas for other special days. \nMiddletown Christian Church cordially invites you\, your family\, and friends to attend a special program entitled “Navigating Your Grief Through the Holidays”. This program is designed to assist you and your family in ways to help you enjoy the holiday season. We want you to be able to make the memories of your loved one a meaningful part of the traditions that fill this time of the year and for years to come. \nThe program will be presented at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday\, November 17\, 2024 in the Youth Worship Center\, Room 116 A/B. Please call us at 502.245.9793 or sign up below to make reservations. There is no charge for the program\, but we do need to hear from you so we can plan for space and refreshments. SUMMARY:Thanksgiving Bag Drive
DESCRIPTION:Each year\, we partner with Eastern Area Community Ministries and other churches in the area to hand out a total of nearly 800 Thanksgiving bags to families in need. Reusable totes with the grocery list attached will be made available on Sunday\, Nov. 10 to pick up between services. If you would like to participate in our annual Thanksgiving Bag Drive\, deliver a reusable shopping bag with the following non-perishable items: \nBags can be dropped off on Sunday\, Nov. 17 or November 18-21 in the church foyer from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. \nShopping List\n• Instant mashed potatoes\n• 4 cans of vegetables\n• Packaged or canned gravy\n• Boxed Stuffing Mix\n• 4 cans of fruit\n• Cranberry sauce\n• Pie filling/crust or cake mix/frosting\n• Tea/lemonade (boxed or powder only)\n• $25 Kroger card for perishable food (please keep gift card separate from bag items) \n  \n
