DESCRIPTION:The loss of a loved one can be confusing and overwhelming. You may find yourself surprised by the feelings that surface in the days\, weeks\, and even the months following this loss. These feelings can sneak up on you\, even if you’ve had some distance from the time of the loss.\nAs you move forward with your life while continuing to remember your loved one\, we want you to know that your faith community at Middletown Christian Church loves you. We are here to support you and listen to the feeling you may be experiencing. \nThe Stephen Ministry Program of Middletown Christian Church invites you to become part of the Exploring Grief Discussion Group which will be held each Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm beginning February 5th through March 12th. This six-week group will be led by Stephen Ministers John Carolan\, and Sarah Paris. We hope you will consider joining us for the opportunity to share with others who have experienced a loss\, explore feelings\, learn about the process of grief\, and learn some coping strategies to help you move forward. \nTo register\, you can call the church office at (502)-245-9793 or sign up below.

DESCRIPTION:Each year\, we partner with Eastern Area Community Ministries and other churches in the area to hand out a total of nearly 800 Thanksgiving bags to families in need. Reusable totes with the grocery list attached will be made available on Sunday\, Nov. 10 to pick up between services. If you would like to participate in our annual Thanksgiving Bag Drive\, deliver a reusable shopping bag with the following non-perishable items: \nBags can be dropped off on Sunday\, Nov. 17 or November 18-21 in the church foyer from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. \nShopping List\n• Instant mashed potatoes\n• 4 cans of vegetables\n• Packaged or canned gravy\n• Boxed Stuffing Mix\n• 4 cans of fruit\n• Cranberry sauce\n• Pie filling/crust or cake mix/frosting\n• Tea/lemonade (boxed or powder only)\n• $25 Kroger card for perishable food (please keep gift card separate from bag items) \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:The holidays may be difficult to face this year because you’ve experienced the loss of a loved one. You may have several questions or doubts about celebrating the holidays. You may also be looking for ideas for other special days. \nMiddletown Christian Church cordially invites you\, your family\, and friends to attend a special program entitled “Navigating Your Grief Through the Holidays”. This program is designed to assist you and your family in ways to help you enjoy the holiday season. We want you to be able to make the memories of your loved one a meaningful part of the traditions that fill this time of the year and for years to come. \nThe program will be presented at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday\, November 17\, 2024 in the Youth Worship Center\, Room 116 A/B. Please call us at 502.245.9793 or sign up below to make reservations. There is no charge for the program\, but we do need to hear from you so we can plan for space and refreshments. DESCRIPTION:5-7 PM\, MCC Parking Lot \nJoin us for a safe evening of spooky fun with trunk or treating at Middletown Christian Church.  This year\, we partnered with The Hope Buss\, a local non-profit that works to address food insecurities\, to fill their bus that has been converted into a mobile food pantry. Bring canned goods and other non-perishable food items to help us fill the Hope Buss!   \nThere will be inflatables for kids and food truck vendors: Boo Boo Smoke Shack\, Fistful of Tacos\, Joella’s\, and Sweet N’ Savory with food for purchase. \nWe need volunteers to assist with parking\, set up and clean up.
