Fill the Buss

Help us fill the Hope Buss with food donations! The school bus converted to a mobile food pantry is a part of the Hope Buss’s HopeFULL program which works to increase access to food for underserved families in Louisville’s West End by offering food box deliveries, transportation to grocery stores, a food pantry, and weekly hot meals to families and our houseless neighbors. The bus feeds 75 families of 4 each week. Our goal is to fill the bus with enough food to provide meals for an entire week.
The bus will be parked in front of the church on Sunday, June 11 from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
The following grocery items are needed:
- Canned Goods
- Canned Meats (Tuna, Chicken, Vienna Sausage)
- White Rice
- Brown Rice
- Flavored Rice
- Flavored Noodle
- Beef/Chicken Ramen Noodles
- Pasta Noodles
- Pasta Sauce
- Manwich
- Chili Beans
- Chili Powder
- Hamburger Helper
- Skillet Box Meals
- Dry Beans
- Stuffing Mix
- Jiffy Cornbread Mix
- Pancake Mix
- Pancake Syrup
- Oatmeal
- Grits
- Instant Mashed Potatoes
- Peanut Butter
- Jelly
- Individually Wrapped Snack Items
The Hope Buss is a 501(c)(3) organization that works to bridge the gap between local organizations and the community by attacking hopelessness at its core in a myriad of ways. The Hope Buss strives to connect local organizations to the crisis in the community, create sustainable resources, and invigorate hope and strength into the people.
