We all know how it feels not to be picked. Whether it was as a kid and we were the last one to get picked for the team or as an adult when a job interview doesn’t go so well and we don’t get the job.
We don’t like not being wanted. We don’t like rejection. The only thing that feels much worse is when we feel this way about God. That there is something about me that would cause God to not pick me. It’s a hard thing to feel that even God has rejected me.
The message this weekend is called Chosen by God from Ephesians 1:3-14. You are going to learn about all the things God has done to include you in his plans …that he chose you before you were even born …that he was searching for you before you even started looking for him …that God is up to big things and that you get to be a part of it.
See you Sunday,
P.S. I started a sermon series in Ephesians last weekend called Count Me In. I can’t say for sure how long the series will last. We could spend a couple of months just on the first chapter. I gave some important background in the first sermon on Paul and the city of Ephesus. You can listen to the message here.
